Friend In Residence: Peterson Toscano

Peterson is a Pennsylvania Friend, Bible scholar, and performance artist who is a passionate advocate for gay, lesbian and transgender rights and inclusion; climate change education and activism; gender and racial justice; and the exploration of power and privilege. He will join us in considering our roles on a new planet in need of addressing long-standing, unresolved troubles.

From the Registrar: The updated registration system should be online shortly.  In the meantime, for those who want to get registered, you can use the downloadable paper forms by clicking the links above.

Gender Inclusivity Minute: Multnomah Monthly Meeting will be bringing a minute on inclusivity for annual session to consider. The text and process for this consideration are in the Proposed Inclusivity Minute. (Please note that the current text of the minute was updated in April 2017. It may change further before annual session in response to feedback from meetings.) Also, here is a resource packet to help your meeting season this proposal and a publication by Jed Walsh of UFM that may be of interest.

Possible Change in Financing Annual Session: NPYM is considering a plan to change the way it charges people to attend annual session, starting in 2018, to a "pay as led" approach inspired by this article in Friends Journal. Please share your thoughts about this change with your Coordinating Committee representative.
